For those Longhorns and friends who like beer - and I know
you're out there - feel free to join a group of Longhorns, et al., who will be
attending the Great
British Beer Festival. Getting tickets beforehand is VERY
IMPORTANT...unless you like huge queues. Here are the details:
Great British Beer Festival Unofficial "Event"
When: 8 August - from 6pm
Where: Earl's Court Exhibition Centre
Once inside, you pay a pittance (roughly a couple of quid)
for a pint glass (yes, I said GLASS) that you can keep, break, or return for
the pittance. Then, it's off to get as many down your neck as you can muster
before you're:
a. Skint
b. So tired from drinking that you just have to go home
c. Surprised that they've called last call and you're only 8x over the legal
limit for doing anything other than riding the public transport
d1. So pissed that you can't negotiate the transaction to buy a pint
d2. So pissed that you can't raise the glass to your mouth
d3. Both d1 and d2
