Texas 52, Florida Atlantic 10 On a night when Texas retired the No. 10 jersey of Vince Young, McCoy passed for three touchdowns, ran for another and the No. 11 Longhorns coasted to a 52-10 win over Florida Atlantic that got testy at times when the Owls popped McCoy for three late hits. |

Texas 52, Arkansas 10 It was over when...Colt McCoy got out of bed this morning and decided to continue his assault on the Texas record books. Gameball goes to McCoy, who threw for three TDs and ran for two more, giving him 75 total touchdowns for his career, good for third all-time. Stat of the game... 1916. You have to go back almost 100 years to see a more lopsided Texas win in what was the 77th meeting between these two teams. |

| Game Date/Time | Opponent | UKTE viewing | Notes |
| Sat Sept 1st, 6pm CST | v Arkansas State | Cancelled | Texas 21, Arkansas St 13. A truly terrible performance, against a half decent opponent we'd have been soundly beaten. |
| Sat Sept 8th, 6pm CST | v TCU | Sunday Sept 9th, 12noon Bodeans BBQ, Soho |
Texas 34, TCU 13. After a poor start, at half time the offense suddenly remembered what it was doing and laid a beating on a tiring TCU defense. And about time too! |
| Sat Sept 15th, 2.30pm CST | at Central Florida | LIVE. Saturday Sept 15th, 8.15pm. Sports Cafe. | Texas 35, Central Florida 32. Jamaal Charles has been running hard and getting great yards after contact so far this season. His outstanding running saved the blushes of an awful defensive performance (especially those linebackers). Now just cure those damn fumbles would ya? |
| Sat Sept 22nd, 6pm | v Rice | Sunday Sept 23rd, 12noon Bodeans BBQ, Soho |
Texas 58, Rice 14. The beat down we needed to give to get our confidence up ready for Big XII play. |
| Sat Sept 29th | v Kansas State | LIVE, Saturday Sept 29th 8.30pm.Sports Cafe. | Kansas State 41, Texas 21. One of those painful games where we beat ourselves with interceptions and woeful special teams. |
| Sat Oct 6th | Oklahoma | LIVE, Saturday Oct 6th 8.30pm. Ye Olde Cock Tavern | Oklahoma 28, Texas 21. Texas played their best game of the year, and pushed OU hard, but a critical fumble and a failure to pressure QB Sam Bradford were the difference. |
| Sat Oct 13th | at Iowa State | LIVE, Saturday Oct 13th 5.30pm. Ye Olde Cock Tavern | Texas 56, Iowa State 3. A very efficient performance from Colt McCoy and the Horns against an inferior opponent. |
| Sat Oct 20th | at Baylor | LIVE, Saturday Oct 13th 5.30pm. Ye Olde Cock Tavern | Texas 31, Baylor 10. Our painful habit of starting games slowly was evident even against Baylor. |
| Sat Oct 27th | v Nebraska | LIVE at Henry J Beans. | Texas 28,
Nebraska 25. A Herculean 290yd effort from Jamaal Charles (216yd in
the fourth quarter) rescued the Horns from another poor first half and
gave Mack Brown his 100th win at Texas. Just to show what could be done against the blackshirts, Kansas scored 76 against them the following week! |
| Sat Nov 3rd | at Oklahoma State | LIVE at Henry J Beans. | Texas 38, OSU 35.
After showing tackling skills the flag
football in Hyde Park guys
would be embarrassed by, Texas trailed by 21 points in the fourth quarter.
We then rattled off 28 unanswered points, led again by some great runs
from Jamaal Charles and rounded off by a 40yd FG from Ryan Bailey as time
expired. That's 3 of the last 4 years we've been massively behind against the Cowboys to come back and beat them. Man, they must really hate us now! |
| Sat Nov 10th | v Texas Tech | LIVE, Saturday Nov 10th, 8pm Henry J Beans | We needed a massive comeback last year in Lubbock to beat the Red Raiders. Thankfully they come to Austin this year, but their offensive is as explosive as ever and our habit of not tackling anyone in the first halves of games does not make for a good combination. |
| Fri Nov 23rd | at Texas A&M | LIVE, Friday Nov 23rd, 8pm .Sports Cafe. | After last year's let down this rivalry will be seriously back on. |
