Previous trips
have been to France, Switzerland and Austria, so this time round it's time to
get a bit more adventurous: we're going skiing in Bulgaria! Check it out here.
Now that the new year has come and gone, we are marching
well into ski season, which means our trip is only 6 weeks away. Spots in the
fully catered chalet (www.chalet-bulgaria.com)
have gone fast and we have just 2 remaining. The Hotel Vikoni (HOTEL
LINK ) next door in a cozy 4 star hotel that has single and
double rooms as well as a few apartments that hold 3 or 4 people. The
hotel is available with half-board (breakfast & dinner) and has the usual
sauna/pool facilities. But rooms there are also disappearing, so if
you've been procrastinating on your decision to join us on the ski trip, then

They are very friendly and speak English well.

Pricing:
Chalet: £187.50
per person - based on fully catered 7 night stay (including alcohol)
For stays less than 7 nights, please deduct £10 off per day. (i.e. 6 nights -
£177.50, 5 nights - £167.50 )
Please note: Priority in chalet will be given to those who stay at
least 5 nights or more
Hotel: £85
per person for half board based on double room for 3 nights
£140 per person for half board based on double
room for 5 nights
The chalet comes
with free round trip transfer to and from the airport (about 2 hours) and we
are working to organise a second bus to make the transfer for the rest of the
group. A second bus can hold up to 13 people at a cost of £100-150
round trip (Max £12.50 per person roundtrip transfer)

| GENERAL CAVEAT:
This is NOT a package holiday. This is simply a bunch of folks of
all ski/board abilities going to the same place at the same time to enjoy
themselves.
To
be completely honest, WHO KNOWS if we'll have great snow. In most of
our trips (Davos, Chamonix, Ishgl and Kaprun) over the past eight
years, we had awesome snow.
This
is a completely UNOFFICIAL trip, sponsored by and liable to no-one,
especially not the University of Texas, the Ex-Students Association and
absolutely NOT formally organised by the UKTE Chapter or its President.
We've done our best to pick a great location, nice hotels, and convenient
flights. However If you bounce down the slopes into a fern, your
hotel room bites or your plane diverts to Iraq, its all you. Get
travel insurance!
